Texas Plummets in Week 3 College Football Poll

The third college football poll of the season has been released, and it appears that Texas is the week’s biggest mover; although, not in ways that Longhorn fans or Mack Brown will appreciate. The Longhorns dropped from No. 15 to unranked after a disastrous trip to BYU, hemorrhaging 679 total yards (550 of them on the ground) to the Cougars. After the horrendous showing, head coach Brown then promptly fired defensive coordinator Manny Diaz on Sunday.

Other movers of note: Clemson’s up to No. 3 in the poll, Ohio State dropped to No. 4 after dismantling San Diego State and Miami–fresh off its upset of in-state rivals Florida–placed itself at No. 15. USC also dropped out of the poll alongside Texas after the Trojans lost to Washington State, 10-7, on Saturday night.
