Tinker’s Air Raid design still stands as one of his gems just because of how easily recognizable it is. Originally released in 1992, no Swoosh necessary then and still not needed now for anyone to know these were/are a Nike product. All you needed to see were those cross-straps, which served as function and fashion, and that was it. For my tastes, the extra colors don’t do much but the black and grey, OG colorway is worth the cop whenever these do release.
Seeing these on the horizon made me want to share a few original sketches plus the old tech sheet for these. Sure, we’ve posted the latter before but who doesn’t love to revisit sneaker history, especially when it’s attached to such a unique model.
