Cortez Bryant doesn’t have the Internet.
It’s either that or he’s gone into deny mode regarding Lil Wayne airing out his grievances with Cash Money. Thirty Mile Zone caught up with Weezer’s manager outside an L.A. nightclub and Tez told them not to worry about that Twitter blowout. “We good,” he responded when pressed about the label status. “I’m smiling…If it wasn’t I wouldn’t be out in the club right now…We’re good. We’re staying where we at.” When asked about Tyga, Tez threw in a quick shoutout to the one other really disgruntled CMR employee, “Tyga’s good, too. That’s my brother.”
Meanwhile, Tunechi’s fans quickly rallied around his cries for freedom by starting a petition for the release of Tha Carter V on ipetiton.com.
“Greetings from the fans of Lil Wayne aka Lil Tunechi,
We would like to take the time to request that Baby & Cash Money Records consider releasing Lil Wayne aka Lil Tunechi new album for the holidays. We the fans have truly been looking forward to a new release and hope you will reconsider your decision not to release it. Thank you so much in advance for your consideration.
Number 1 Fan”
Birdman probably read that petition and just kept it moving.
Update: According to TMZ, Tez contacted them to say he was being “sarcastic” during the impromptu video and that the situation with Cash Money is very “serious.”
