Typically, I just get a bunch of mediocre music in my inbox. Now, I’m getting tickets for half-*ss basketball too. Instead of postponing this meaningless game until after the roads weren’t deathtraps, the Detroit Pistons organization is offering free tickets to tonight’s match-up at The Palace versus the Bobcats.
PNC Bank, the presenting sponsor of the Detroit Pistons, is offering free 200-level tickets to tonight’s Detroit Pistons vs. Charlotte Bobcats at 7:30 pm at The Palace of Auburn Hills as a “Snow Day” option to honor the area’s hearty fans who would like to brave the elements.
The tickets are available now through game time at The Palace Box Office, limited to four tickets per person, while supplies last OR fans can call to reserve their tickets in advance by calling 248-377-0100.
The offer is a generous one, without a doubt, but they seem to have forgotten there is no blackout rule in the NBA. Plus, they could’ve been doing this the whole season and The Palace would still be half empty. How are your local teams getting you off the couch, through the snow and to the stadiums this evening?
