“The more I’m in Rome the more that I’m me”

Left coast hip-hop heads rejoice! After taking an almost decade long break between projects, the underrated Dilated Peoples crew have returned to raise the bar once again.

The first bit of good news is that Evidence, Rakaa and DJ Babu have named their upcoming project Directors Of Photography, which will be on the storied Rhymesayers label and their first outside of the original Capital Records contract that helped put them on the map since 1998. Secondly, the tracklist is below and features Gangrene, Krondon and a song with Aloe Blacc, which will almost surely serve as a single.

Finally, the LA group brings even more reality to their reunion with the hard-nosed visual to “Good As Gone.” The only thing that could be better is if the song were produced by someone legendary, like DJ Premier. Oh wait. The song is produced by DJ Premier. And sounds like a haunted house. Bonus!

Bring all the Dilated goodness into focus by pre-ordering their long-awaited return LP, before it drops on August 12.
