Dizzy Wright Feat. Nikkiya – “Fly High” Video

Why do we do what we do? Why do we take out a six-figure loan to go to college for four years only to put up with a bum-ass job with an equally bum-ass boss who hangs over us, like he gets a commission based on how unhappy he can make us? Easy.

To put ourselves in the best possible position to handle our obligations. We have people to take care of, rent to pay, mouths to feed and we’d make these sacrifices ten times over to see the happiness of our loved ones. Shit, it’s not even a sacrifice. It’s a privilege to be in a position to be the foundation of the family. And that alone makes everything else worth it every single damn time.

With “Fly High,” Dizzy Wright explores a relatively unfamiliar lane, introspective and freely discussing his flaws and how he’s trying to overcome them to take care of the priorities. No dummy, rap isn’t a priority, rap is a means to fulfill priorities. Of course family always comes first and the two most important people in his life are his mother and his daughter, to the point where he says his “favorite holiday is Father’s Day.” I can’t sing this guy’s praises enough.

Listen for yourself. December 3rd. The First Agreement.
