At a certain point you just want Action Bronson to stop–you know, take a breather and disappear for a while. This certainly isn’t because he’s lost a step. No, no, not at all. The Flushing, Queens, MC has just released so much material this year, looking like ’09 Freddie Gibbs and ’10-’11 Curren$y in the process, that fans just need time to digest the five-star audio dining he’s preparing. Action’s become the new mixtape and EP king, with each subsequent release championing his rapid ascent to the top of the rap game’s pinnacle.
And now, today, Bronsolini drops Rare Chandeliers, his collaborative mixtape with The Alchemist, which features the best album artwork of the year and, quite possibly, some of the best material on wax, too. Fans have seen the teasers, promo videos and heard some leaks. Now it’s time to imbibe the entire thing, beginning to end, a five-course meal that comes courtesy of Hip-Hop’s favorite chef. If Rare Chandeliers is anything like Blue Chips–or Well Done or Dr. Lecter–then listeners won’t want Bronson to quit the output.
