Gucci, Gucci, Gucci. Does he need an intervention? Was his 24-hour Twitter meltdown all for his new project Diary of a Trap God?* Maybe a little bit of both, but I’ll reserve judgement.
To make up for lost promotion time, he’s dropped three new tracks within the the past two days, all taken from a set of 24 songs he claims to have recorded over a one-day period (there are actually 23 songs though, so go figure). “Stealing” features OJ Da Juiceman over a Zaytoven beat and not even Guwop can ruin that winning combination. “No Patience” again features a rejuvenated Jooman again but also Chief Keef, who I completely forgot was signed to Gucci only because he escaped La Fleur’s ire of the last couple of days. Wait a second…is Keef our “hacking” culprit??
Nah. If there’s anything that Gossip Girl taught me it’s that one of the people he names is the phantom tweeter, as if that really, truly narrows it down, because it doesn’t.
To top all of his recent randomness off, Mr. Mane decided to let Diary Of A Trap God go for free in the middle of the night, instead of the original plan for the album to go up on iTunes. Just call him unpredictable La Fleur.
Stream selected cuts while downloading the whole thing, both below.
* – Remember the last time around when he dropped his Trap God album and it took foreverrr to make it up on iTunes due to corrupted files. If it took multiple days for it to make it on iTunes, and this is spur of the moment…I’m just sayin.’
