J. Cole Plans To Be The Game’s Elite

In light of the consistent thrashing that EA has been getting at the hands of 2K over the last few years, the folks presiding over the studios of NBA Live voted in favor of a complete image overhaul. Redubbed as NBA Elite, and sporting budding star Kevin Durant on the cover, EA is less than subtly attempting to expand its market share to cut into its rivals sales. As part of the remastering process, none other than J. Cole was chosen to create the main theme song of NBA Elite 11.

“The Plan” is everything you’d imagine a sports anthem to be. It’s energetic, catchy, and keeps your attention long enough for you to start an exhibition game and be well on your way to trouncing Bron-Bron and the Heat.

But of course, EA’s problem was never shitty music and covers, so we’ll have to wait and see if the revamped gameplay can keep up with its spiffy promotion.
