Rittz Feat. Yelawolf & Big K.R.I.T. – “Fulla Sh*t”

Naming a mixtape White Jesus might seem audacious. However, it only makes sense when you’re Slumerican crew member Rittz and the first, electric record from your forthcoming project is “Fulla Shit,” putting you alongside two young savants – country cousins Yelawolf and Big K.R.I.T. In the eternal words of Maurice Garland, “this is fie.”

Before even pressing play, seeing DJ Burn One’s name as the man who laid the track’s foundation is enough to get the fireworks started long before July 4th rolls around. Embodying “country rap tunes” in full, Burn’s modern-day jazz influence sets the stage for each artist to explain why their opposite sex-related personality flaws aren’t exactly as bad as they seem. Matching his previous performance on “Box Chevy Pt. 3,” Rittz deserves an invite to next summer’s Olympics in London for the way he balances his controlled, yet accelerated flow ever so tightly over Burn’s soundbed.

Meanwhile, K.R.I.T.’s verse is so cold and so pimptastic that two things are for sure: 1) Pimp C is looking down from the heavens with a smile and 2) the whole “middle verse is the weakest” theory is debunked, at least with K.R.I.T. And last but not least, there’s Yelawolf. His hook will undoubtedly be embedded in your mental due to its catchiness and Catfish Billy’s country dialect. Getting a deep-fried 16 only fattens the meal.

Enough anticipation though. This is the time when you formulate your own opinion. Is my description accurate? Am I overrating it? Who knows, but if you’ll excuse me, I’m diving back in for another listen.
