Oh, this whole Drake-Chris Brown-Rihanna thing may never go away. While in NYC last night, the Canadian rapper stopped by East Village Radio to chat it up with Elliott Wilson and briefly spoke on Pusha T (“I don’t have a problem with him”), The Weeknd (they’re cool, just going different directions) and his plans to drop two new songs next week. But the fireworks came when the topic of Brown and RiRi. With the end result being a host of quotables, we’ve included the winning Pick 6 below.

— “Don’t ask me shit about that man when I come up there and leave that man alone. Stop preying on his insecurities.”

— “His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I’m more popping than him and that at one point in life the woman that he loves fell into my lap.

— “I did what a real n*gga would do and treated her with respect.”

— “All them things combined create an individual that comes up to your radio station and is just gonna do dumb shit. It shouldn’t be about tearing that man down. It shouldn’t be about wanting to see me and him tear each other down. We have an issue and it’s either gonna drag out or maybe in ten years we’ll laugh about it over drinks, just let us solve that shit.”

— “I don’t wanna hear that man rap, nobody wants to hear me rap against him. I really do this sh.”

— “I’m not thinking about that man at all, or that girl, straight up.”

It’s too motherf*cking Saturday for me, so I’m not going to spend a lot of time toying around with this crap. At this point, it’s easier to rewind the clock to 2010 and point out Drizzy’s words shared with the NY Times.

“I was a pawn,” Drake said. The song he wrote for her never got released. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear,” he said. “I was like, wow, this feels terrible.”

Did Drizzy drink a cup of courage to steel himself for the interview? A nerve got touched? Still irked fresh off the latest lawsuit from the club brawl? Is this Drake acting like “angry Drake,” maybe?

If anything, this is one of those sad situations where he’s playing the tough guy and trying to be all “bitches ain’t shit.” In reality, he’s writing haikus and sonnets about her every other night when he’s not at the strip club, attempting to save a hoe which is his second favorite hobby. It’s a scene reminiscent of that Martin episode, where Martin told Gina to step, then she starts leaving and he gets on his knees like “please baby don’t go!”

Anywho, Miss Info upped the audio and Rap Radar detailed what each segment involved. Again, it’s Saturday so I’m just going to steal.
