With each accomplishment, it becomes harder and harder to discount Drake as one of the most successful artists since the turn of the century. It’s just the truth. And now, the man formerly known as Wheelchair Jimmy earned another distinction that’ll probably soon make its way into a verse.
Drake and Wayne’s “Believe Me” landed at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, the fourteenth time Aubrey has celebrated atop of said mountain. If 14 sounds like a lot, that’s because it is. Johnny Manziel’s bro now stands alone as the artist with the most No. 1’s in the chart’s 22-year existence, surpassing Usher.
Interestingly enough, the nod represents Tune’s tenth, making him only the third artist to eclipse the double-digit mark with, of course, Usher and Drake.
That’s all fine and dandy and dope as hell for two of Cash Money’s three biggest cash cows, especially with their tour kicking off next month. But, seriously, where’s the video for “Believe Me?” They already dropped the ball by not shooting one for “She Will.” Let’s not travel down that path again.
