Love Drake, or hate him, you’re listening to him. But chances are, you probably didn’t buy his album. According to data monitoring company, Musicmetric, with a whopping 96,868,398 files shared, we the people of the United States placed first in the global rankings for “Most Illegal Downloads,” handily beating runner-up United Kingdom by over two times.
And of those 96s-some-odd million downloads, Canada’s very own, Drake was the most popularly bootlegged artist, which is a little strange because he wasn’t even first in his own country. Surprisingly, the honor of being Canada’s pirate king belonged to a certain Kanye West.
