Save your complaints. Drake’s funny, charming and likeable as hell. That’s why T-Mobile hired him to help pitch their unreliable service in a new commercial airing during Super Bowl 50 this Sunday. And the cell phone carrier did it the best way possible, by using Drizzy’s super infectious “Hotline Bling.” Duh.
The funny 30-second ad goes behind-the-scenes of Drake’s viral video and shows clueless corporate advisers suggesting he switch the song’s lyrics to include all the crap we hate about cell phone carriers’ terms and conditions. With a giant grin, Drake agrees and continues to dance before the voiceover shades T-Mobile’s competition with “wireless carriers ruin everything.”
It’s infinitely times better than his Sprite commercial from several years ago, that’s for sure.
