Word always travels fast. While I didn’t attend the recent A3C festival in Atlanta, news of the movers, shakers and just all around good people are discussed and, in some cases, dissected if they have music to critique. You have to appreciate someone who takes their craft seriously. Regardless if they’re the next big thing or not, passion will get you noticed and that can never be undervalued.
Hailing from the same city as Little Rock, Arkansas, Epiphany made the journey to A3C and shook hands, checked the panels, listened to music and even distributed his own. Knowing all this, giving his music a spin was decided. “Untouchable” boasts a familiar Biggie sample and a slow building flow which allows you to hear and process each line. It’s not a bad offering, and he even has a few noteworthy lines. The song doesn’t signify the next coming of Scarface or Bun B, but one I won’t mind bring this back a few times.
