Who said women are a bunch of catty creatures who can’t get along if their lives depended on it? That guy’s wrong because Erykah Badu and Iggy Azalea are, at the very least, now cordial following Erykah’s shade towards Iggy at the Soul Train Music Awards last week.
Answering a fan’s “Why you do Iggy like that?” question during a recent #AskBadu segment on Twitter, Erykah revealed her kids are actually big fans of the Aussie entertainer and apologized for making light of her musical shortcomings. “I want to do this for my daughters. I want to apologize to Iggy Azalea because she’s one of their favorite artists, and they listen to her all the time. It’s for them.”
Word got back to Iggy and she not only accepted the neo-soul icon’s apology, but she also offered show tickets to Erykah’s kids, writing, “I’m gonna announce a new tour soon. If they do great in class, there is officially an open invitation extended to them and friends with good report cards to come and enjoy a show anytime.”
For the sake of Erykah’s children, I sure do hope that tour doesn’t get cancelled again like last time.
