Great drinks. Beautiful women. A great football game and a chance to give back to the troops? All in a regular Sunday when you get to hang out with Crown Royal and Playboy.

Yesterday, our buddies at Crown Royal and Playboy kicked off their second annual Heroes Project by inviting a few people down to The Metropolitan in New Orleans to pack Crown Royal bags to send to the troops for Veterans day. Also, for every bag stuffed, they made a donation to Support Our War Heroes, a non-profit organization that assists military members who have sustained life altering injuries. It was a great cause to be a part of.

Oh yeah, there was also lots of free Crown Royal, great food and a chance to meet one of the hottest women on the planet.

As soon as I walked into The Metropolitan, I was greeted by Playboy playmate Kylie Johnson who was very down-to-earth and cool the whole time. After stuffing a few bags for the troops, we were treated to an open bar and some classic Louisiana seafood while we cheered on the Saints’ unrelenting thrashing of the Atlanta Falcons.

The drink of choice was the brand-new Crown Royal Maple that is as unique as it is delicious. It’s a syrupy sweet concoction that mixed well with pineapple juice or orange juice. And I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m sure your mom wouldn’t mind using it in some sort of cake mix or something.

One of things that’s impressed me so much about our relationship with Crown Royal over the year has been their unending efforts to support the troops and this isn’t any different. Great event and a great way to give back on Veteran’s Day.

Now, for what you came for: a gallery of the day’s festivities (okay, mostly pictures of Kylie Johnson but you get the point.
