I’m loving the re-emergence of retro runners and this year Saucony’s collaborations have been crushing it. The Extra Butter x Saucony Shadow 6000 ‘Moonwalker’ moves on from Mars to the moon, taking elements of outer space and space travel placed onto a clean running model, putting together a dope pair without having to bite that god awful galaxy print.
A mostly grey shoe can still stand out in a crowd, and Extra Butter proved this point in spades. The toecap and eyelet panels are a grey nylon that mimics the look and feel of old school space suits, while the distressed print on the side panel portrays the uneven terrain of the moon. A quick glance at the heel reveals a helmet visor panel on that Daft Punk flow. Those laces look more like intergalactic straps more so than actual shoe laces too. Very fresh.
