Considering Faith Evans and Biggie were married in their respective primes, it seems strange the former couple never recorded much material together. That’s part of the reason why we weren’t surprised, a few years back, when Evans claimed she was planning on dropping a long overdue collaborative album between the two.
Thankfully, she’s sticking to her word, as the former Bad Boy star confirmed the album is still coming, even sooner than we might realize.
During a stop through The Dame Dash Radio Show, the “Love Like This” singer announced the project would be called The King & I, with a lead single coming this summer and the full album following in September. She even mentions potentially performing with a hologram version of her ex-husband. While the couple’s digital reunion sounds super creepy, the album itself should hopefully be worth checking for, especially if there’s a strong R&B lean.
Hear Faith speak on the release and her current career stance below. Her interview starts around the 23 minute mark, while Oschino of State Property and Dame also drop some gems.
