Frankie Ocean Versace Remix

With a million and one “Versace” remixes littering the Internet, Frank Ocean knew his had to stand out. He succeeded.

Francis Ocean took to his Tumblr to share his version of the popular song, but you might want to throw a beat on (© Freeway) first. In a Jay Z-like move, the Odd Future member posted only the typewritten lyrics in the Tumblr post marked “no audio.” The play ends up making Frank’s Chris Brown diss that much more poignant.

Right in the beginning of the lyrics, Frank jabs, “you could stay seated I’m taking that Grammy, your music is sloppy.” As you may recall, both Frank and Chris Brown were up for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 2013 Grammys. Frank ended up taking the prize, and while the audience gave him a standing ovation, a salty Chris remained seated.

This is just the latest episode of the Frank Ocean/Chris Brown beef that’s sure to end in a You Got Served dance-off. At least, that’s what I’m hoping.
