When we posted the first prominent “blog post” on behalf of Freddie Gibbs way back in April, the goal wasn’t to create some overly-hyped Internet sensation but more so to showcase the talents of an MC with the power to accomplish that on his merit; through the power of rhyme. Plenty of anomalies, great music and achieved expectations have been made since then, which brings us full circle to this point.
The Labels Tryin To Kill Me: The Best Of Freddie Gibbs.
A mix of Fred’s best verses and freestyles chopped and mixed back to back to back, not 80 full tracks as the tracklisting would have you to believe. There’s also seven previously unheard tracks included in there, making it more than worthy. Consider it collector’s item as well as a barometer to measure the amount of raw talent the man entered the game with and how far he just keeps getting better. No need for fast-forward buttons or attempting to figure out what you heard before. DJ Skee is back in the driver’s seat and he lets Gangsta Gibbs ride out as you should the tape. Let’s get it! And as always, RMF.

^ the seven new tracks.
I’m not splittin’ them up. As a wise man once told me, “niggas want you to crush the food up for’em like babies.” lol. DL, pull those out and there you go. If you want to help the next man out, zip up and reup those seven for the masses.
Preciate that Gotty.
I can’t read all that small lettering and cross check with my itunes.
Thanks.
Dope. I’ve been looking forward to this.
Gangsta Gibbs!!
Excellent.
I was wondering WTH was going on, I say this on Byron but there was nothing here.
This project is something that can be listened to on it’s own, even if you have every full mp3 from whatever project they came out on. There’s also some tracks in there from some real early Freddie tapes that you might not have heard before, but were released. It’s well worth the 172 MB of hard drive space that it takes up

to retort:
murdergame – was thrown out to the web and on hiphopgame in ’06
fresh – on the “truth is gibbs” compilation that I put together just for me and somehow got out to the web, also on imeem
its a robbery – was on hiphopgame in ’07
come around my way – on imeem
product of the hood – on imeem
on the creep – hiphopgame in ’07
fuck what you heard – truth is gibbs compilation
fear no evil – up on ilike.com
goodies – this was released to the web and on miseducation
life in the fastlane – truth is gibbs
hold me back – truth is gibbs and also on allhiphop breeding ground compilation in ’07
Those other 7 have never been released in any capacity whatsoever… And this is the Imeem playlist that I spoke of. It says that I posted it a year ago, but I could’ve sworn that it was further back than that:
But this is also why we threw all of those tracks onto one compilation. For everybody to have one solid project to go to and see what’s what
smh@Trackstar.
Surprised no one’s said nothing about shorty with the tits.
Gibbs ftw.
I’m let down from the tracklist.
I don’t care if they’re mixed together by God, I ain’t listening to no 81 tracks.
that isn’t ‘Best Of Freddie Gibbs’…..it’s ‘ALL of Freddie Gibbs’
That said….DLed.

what the hell is up with a 1:55 mixtape? its not divided into side a/b as far as i can tell. that’s not a mixtape, its a playlist lol.
and is the intro exclusive to this tape, something skee did? or a gibbs production reappropriated? cause its pretty awesome.
This is the most non-mixtape project that Skee has ever been a part of. It is basically a playlist, not really any mixing and it was never meant to fit on a cd, just as a collection of verses and freestyles that people can listen to on their comp or ipod. And yes, that intro is exclusive to the tape… I actually was the one that put it together using a bunch of news clips that I found. Made that whole intro using audacity too, not even using pro tools. Glad you like it, I was pretty marvelled at myself after pulling that one off… Never done no shit that complex in audacity
word, good shit. i’m not mad at the format, i just like to burn projects for the car. either way the intro is ill and the tape is very dope so far.
Props on the tape boys
