We’re still roughly a good three months away from when music publications begin dropping their “Best of 2014” lists. But Freddie Gibbs and Madlib’s Piñata could very well land on every single one of them.
Fred isn’t vocally campaigning for the honor, but does continue to show he’s one of the coldest MC’s currently breathing air into microphones and claiming it on their taxes every year. Gangsta Gibbs caught a flight across the pond to kick it with the OG Tim Westwood. The result was Freddie floating and dismantling Weezy’s “Believe Me” and Drake’s “0 To 100” with the precision and ruggedness we’ve come to expect for the past half decade now.
Believe it or not, five years have already come and gone since The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik dropped. I know. It shocked the hell out of me, too.
