Beyonce and Jay recorded an international hit of their drunken sexual exploits. The same song, mind you, Blue Ivy’s going to be grossed out over when she finally learns of the birds and the bees. Drake all but confessed his love for Rihanna (again) on “Days In The East.” And following weeks news of the rumored collaboration, Future Beethoven and Kanye West officially liberated their ode to the mother of their children, “I Won.”
I say all that to say this. Rap’s in love. And they don’t care who knows.
“Won” is Honest’s most anticipated track sans the Andre 3000-featured “Benz Friendz.” Kanye even brings along a tad bit of animosity, too, lobbing subliminal darts at his ol’ lady’s exes, Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries. Now that the MP3 is available for consumption come the possibilities of what a video treatment might offer. If the visual isn’t a double-date-marriage type thing with Future moonlighting as a groom and wedding singer, then, well, we all lost.
Honest hits shelves and iTunes on April 22.
