FX Continues To Wear Comedy Crown, Announces New Shows Starring Zach Galifianakis, Michael Cera And Louis C.K.

Archer is Archer. Louie is Louie. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia is going on its tenth season, and after a ninth season that was way funnier than any ninth season has a right to be, that’s good news for everybody. The League has flashes of genius, and Chozen – while uncomfortable at times – could grow into something pretty huge.

As far as cable comedy goes, FX has to be considered the top of the mountain. Comedy Central comes close, with South Park, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report and Tosh.0 all bringing in plenty of viewers. But I think it’s pretty obvious that FX has the upper hand here.

That slight edge could very well evolve into a stranglehold with news of FX’s new pilots. Courtesy of IGN:

*How & Why stars Michael Cera and John Hawks (Eastbound & Down). Hawks plays an incredibly smart but socially awkward TV show host, while Cera plays his boss.

*Zack Galifianakis and Louie CK are working together on the second comedy. Details are harder to come by for this one.

boosie yes

Based on the abundance of talent and the fact that FX does a great job of staying out of the way of its star writers and actors, the only appropriate way to respond is a resounding chorus of celebration GIFs.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted as news continues to trickle out.
