Who knew donating was a competition among celebrities to confirm who really cares about the causes they’re advocating for? At least, that’s how The Game is painting it after his Robin Hood Project charity, along with bottled water company Avita, donated $1 million towards buying water bottles for Flint residents, with $500,000 coming out of The Game’s own pockets.

Currently in Germany for his European tour, the California rapper took to Instagram and said he was moved to make such a sizeable donation because his younger sister and her children are Flint residents and because he cares, unlike other celebrities. “Most celebs on here faking [and] using the word “Pledge” in their so-called donations is not fooling anyone,” he wrote in the caption to a screenshot of his donation. “The truth is the population in Flint, Michigan is about 105,000 people and it takes at least nine bottles per person a day just to use to bathe, brush their teeth, drink and cook with.”

Game specifically called out Madonna and Jimmy Fallon for their “cute” donations of $10,000. On Sunday, Fallon announced he was donating the sum to a charity that supports Flint communities and asked for his friends to join him. Tuesday morning, Michigan native Madonna stepped up said she was matching the Tonight Show host’s $10,000 donation.

However, The Game was not impressed by either of their donations and said the amounts aren’t enough to help the people of Flint. The rapper challenged them to match his $1 million. As well, he then called out other stars for using the Flint water crisis as a publicity stunt for themselves and demanded they show proof of their donations:

“To those who think it’s easy getting this water to Flint, it’s not. So, the people who are pledging they are, show us.. We want proof!!! Stop using others’ tragedies for your own celebrity gain. You’re not fooling ANYONE!

I seen @Madonna & @JimmyFallon’s $10,000 donations. that’s cute, but not nearly enough. So I challenge both & anyone else in the world to match me & DONATE $1,000,000 in bottled water to Flint, Michigan & we want proof, shipping order receipts, bank wire receipts, pictures etc. No more pretending to give a f*ck. I donate money all the time & it comes out of my pocket & never once have I written anything off on my taxes because that’s not why I do it!

Game ended his passionate rant by telling his fellow celebs that he doesn’t want to hear about anymore “pledge” talk because then he’ll know they’re just faking the funk. “Just make sure the water actually gets to the people who need it. I don’t want to see anyone else using the word “Pledge” in their donation or press release because we know that that means. You’re just walking and trying to make yourself look like a humanitarian.”‘

Be it $10,000 or $1 million, it’s all still greater than $0.
