It’s always nice when a random blog-roll inclusion delivers an unexpected ditty. Gospel Music’s “Automobile” might not be something you would jam to initially, but has enough songwriting spell to entrance you into humming the carefree cocktail all day à la your local roofer’s TV jingle. Expect the band’s creator, Black Kids‘ bassist Owen Holmes, to be receiving checks from at least one car company’s advertising department relatively soon because of how incredibly catchy this song with Camera Obscura’s Tracyanne Campbell is.
Cop this joint and the rest of GM’s Duettes EP if you decide you need to put on for your whip and can’t completely vibe with tracks about middle-aged wheel-sizes and Crayola paint jobs.
