This is what I’m talking about.
These two cats from the CPT were once mortal enemies, and now here they are together with their past in the rearview, toasting to the future.
Setting an example for not only these young carnivorous emcees of today, but also every hotheaded cat out there that jumps at that chance to prove his worth through the destruction of another. Or, for that matter, anyone who finds shame in giving in and apologizing to another person.
As Henry Thomas, founding governor of Georgia, once said, “There is nothing that war has ever achieved that we could not better achieve without it.”
DJ Quik – Dollaz & Sense
MC Eiht – Def Wish IV
Fam-Lay & Malice of Clipse-Nomore Mr. Nice Guy
Yukmouth – Wake They Game Up (Ft Crooked I)
USDA Ft. Young Buck – 26 Inches
OC & A.G. – 2 For The Money
Colby O’Donis (of Konvict Muzik) – Second Glance
Henny makes friends…
Henny makes enemies too…
HA HA HA HA HA HA THEY WANNA BE LIKE COMPTON!!! Sorry couldn’t help it, that song sprung up in my head once I saw this photo.

Why were Eight and Quik beefing? Is it because Eight is a Crip and Quik is a Blood?
Eiht felt slighted by someting Quik said on a mixtape. Quik is the obvious winner of that beef. “Dollars & Sense” is one of the hardest dis tracks ever. Eiht is now reduced to a B-level weed carrier in Snoop’s crew while quietly, The Fixxers bootlegged “Midnight Life” was a dope showcase for Quik’s new production style.
you guys did and article on blu & exile and it reminded me of this guy: jon-e
please let me know what you think:

Black Milk being in the Aftermath camp… is that like, every beat he makes dre and co get a cut but in return he gets to put a beat on a Tony Yayo album.
I don’t understand.
^^ Thats not a fair comment, the producer will always beat the emcee unless the emcee got money like Jay-z. Even then the producers career can still operate on a functional level. But when a mediocre rapper is done he’s done baby. Look at RZA and then look at golden arms, master killa, and inspector deck. But hell, even the WU members have a longer shelf life than MC eight; most eastcoast rap from the early 90’s is more technical than early 90’s west coast; so at least the WU members can seek refuge in the underground rap scene. Kats like Mc Eight, South Central Cartel, and Spice 1 have rap styles that are straight up primitive; they’d have to totally reinvent themselves to make money rappin. You see Snoop doesn’t really rap anymore, he straight up reinvented himself.
Eiht looks old as hell B….
ayyo cougar.. i got your oasis right chea…

Snatcha, that is actually truthful. My cousin is/was in Compton’s Most Wanted, and yeah, that dude is working at LAX now.
The Fixxers bootlegged “Midnight Life” was a dope showcase for Quik’s new production style.
Man, I thought that Fixxers shit was straight garbage. Definitely NOT feeling it.
LET’S GIVE EIHT A BREAK… FOR THE SIMPLE FACT IN IT’S DAY “MUSIC TO DRIVE BY” WAS STRAIGHT NASTY….
^ Classic West Coast album.
quik is one of the most underrated producers since the early 90’s. i get his albums if only for the beats. as for the fixxers…that joint had some great ass production on it. and who could be mad at quik and amg trading verses. shit made me pull out “quik is the name” and “bitch better have my money”.
to this day, i’ll know the hell outta sweet black pussy. that bassline on that track is incredible.
Eiht shoulda kept acting…he was my favorite character in Menace
^ edit…know should read “knock”
“Imma boot yo muthafuckin’ azz to da moon…”
Glad they cool now. Spread love not war.
what is a grown man ” B.I. ” ?
thx
peace
“Who got some snaps on the petro!?”
as far as Grown Man BI goes, it’s short for grown man business….at least, thats what ive always taken it as
They both look old as hell! Quik is an all time fav. Wasn’t really feelin that fixxers cd but I’ll give it another chance. Maybe I just don’t want to give up on those signature 808s and hand claps. Al Kaline Word on that Oasis! Thats why TSS is so major!
For the person who asked why Quik and Eiht were beefing! Quik has done some low down, down low scandlous ass sh!t back in the day. Not saying he ain’t a good artist and that he can’t perform because I like his music. But Quik has always been a man of oppertunity as you would say. He was quik to steal a beat if he felt it was something he needed or wanted. He did that shit to Suga Free and a few other artists that were down with him. Not saying other artists in those times weren’t doing the same thing. But as far as Quik and Eiht goes. Think of it this way. Two knuckleheads in the CPT from Rival Sets tryna make a name out of theirselves. Sh!ts gonna get personal reguardless. They are rivals on the street and rivals on the mic. Artists have to think how can they sell their music and stay on top of other artists especially in your own town, city and state. Gotta do what ya gotta do!
