By now, we’ve all seen the video of Gunplay’s fight with G-Unit at the annual BET
fish fry Hip-Hip Awards over the weekend. This morning, Power 105 1’s The Breakfast Club got on the phone with the MMG recording to speak on the incident, clear up rumors of 50’s involvement, how he feels about the Rick Ross-Jeezy altercation and where does the beef go from here?
— Gunplay refers to 50 as “the donkey” as states “I ain’t gonna say the donkey’s name cause I ain’t gonna ruin a career already ruined.”
— His story is that Curtis was walking with “eight other donkeys.”
— 50 proceeded to nod to “one of the donkeys and one of the donkeys set it off.” As Shakespeare once said, “all the world’s a stage” and rappers, as we’ve seen, are forever in character. Imagine 50 giving that nod to one of his goons.
— In the mind of Gunplay, he figured he had one of two options: “It was either me jump the barrier and run or stand, pull up my pants and knuckle it out with the donkey.”
The rest is BET Hip-Hop Awards history.
When quizzed about Ross and Jeezy, Gunplay blamed it on the fuzz saying he stopped and patted down by security. “I ain’t get to see what happened,” he explained. “Ross and them walked up ahead of me.”
