Isaiah Rashad’s “Heavenly Father” is my favorite cut from Cilvia Demo. Isaiah’s stated that “Modest” is his favorite from the project. “Modest” is maybe my second favorite but definitely number one when it comes to seeing and hearing it live, mostly because Zay expends an immense amount of energy into bringing the song to life.
Here, he partners with Scheme Engine again – the same crew who happened to do “Heavenly Father” – to bring that same stage energy to life on the screen. In the Fight Club-inspired treatment, verything starts slow but by verse two things get aggressive and hectic – in a good way – and it’s then that you realize all involved parties nailed this one.
