Ja Rule Revealed That A Murder, Inc. TV Show Is In The Works

If Master P can cash in on the hip-hop biopic craze which Straight Outta Compton seemed to spark, why can’t Ja Rule?

In an interview with VladTV, Jeffrey Atkins (admit it, you heard the girl from “Back Down”) says that a TV series on the rise of Murder, Inc. is on the way.

“[Irv] Gotti’s out in LA putting the icing on that cake right now. Yeah, we’re doing a Murder Inc series. We got good partners with us, and hopefully it will be coming to Showtime or something like that real soon. Next year sometime, hopefully we’ll get it up and running.”

Ja called the show “Gotti’s baby” but added that he’s an executive producer on the show and is helping to plan the course of the series. He also said that there will be no dodges; the characters on screen will share names with Murder, Inc. stars.

“There will be a Ja Rule and Ashanti character, whoever else is involved in the story.”

Ja didn’t say if he was starring in the series, but he did tell VladTV that he considers acting to be the focus of his career at this point.
