Jarren Benton comes from a dark place. A crippling drug addiction and broken familial ties are just a couple of the things that define his music. The fallout from both is enough to stunt anyone’s development but Jarren’s one of the few who survived. And he’s sharing the story through his latest visual “Life In The Jungle.”
“Jungle” is one of the records off of My Grandma’s Basement that shows not only his versatility as an artist but also his flawed nature, just like the rest of us. He’s overcome his less than best days, the same way each and every one of us has to at some point in our lives. Getting through the “Jungle” makes us stronger, and shapes us into the unique people that we are.
This just happens to be Jarren’s “Jungle.”
