The show must go on for Jay Z.
After Stevie Wonder’s ongoing boycott of Florida and other states with similar Stand Your Ground laws, a purported a list of celebrities who’ve taken part of the Boycott Florida campaign found its way online. The boycott list included many high profile names, including Jay Z, who’s scheduled to perform in Florida in August. But according to organizers for Jay & JT’s “Legends of Summer” tour, Mr. Carter isn’t boycotting the Sunshine State.
Speaking with a local Florida news station, an executive affiliated with the tour says the twosome’s August 16th show at Sun Life Stadium in South Florida will be “going as planned.”
Over the weekend, Jay Z and his wife Beyonce took part in a “Justice For Trayvon” rally held in NYC. Similar rallies took place in 100 cities across the country, a week after George Zimmerman was found not guilty for murdering the unarmed teenager.
