Back when Bill Gates was the first coming of Mark Zuckerberg, the all-star posse cut was as popular as ever. Taking a cue from other competitive-minded emcees, a two-bit rapper who many now regard as the greatest to ever do it assembled a posse cut for the ages. Calling in The Lox, Marcy Projects comrade Sauce Money and Roc-A-Fella prospect in waiting Beanie Sigel, the ending result was a lyrical miracle from an elite group of spitters. While everyone delivered rewind button worthy lines, the real question is who had the best bars overall, and more importantly, who came in last place?
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of Vol. 2…Hard Knock Life, we decided to get your take on it. Did the Harold Minor of the late ’90s (Sauce Money *cough*) performance live up to his hype? Which member of The Lox the hardest? Was Jay wack compared to Beanie on “Reservoir Dogs” and did Jay get murdered on his own shit?
