A remix isn’t a remix until DJ Khalid shows up and adds his throaty vocals. Jennifer Lopez knows this so she bring in the Dade county DJ plus T-Raww, and Sean Don as well a recurring appearance by French Montana for an updated version of “I Luh Ya Papi.” The track features a sped-up flip of Jay’s “Hey Mami” to cap off J.Lo’s play for urban radio airplay. Maybe, just maybe Sean’s verse is strong enough to help her reach her goal. Otherwise, this remix may miss the mark for many people.
Still, Lopez isn’t done tapping into her rap roots for upcoming project. There’s a DJ Mustard-produced track titled “Girls” that should be releasing soon.
