I’m pretty sure myself and only a select few people who actually wear basketball sneakers for, you know, basketball are teeming with excitement for Carmelo Anthony’s next sig shoe. I think it’s my Syracuse fandom that causes me to view the Melo models with a favorable eye but, in terms of style, they’ve also gotten progressively better over the years. And for the Melo M10, Jordan Brand put the Knicks star together with Tinker Hatfield to create a shoe that performs up to Melo’s standards while maintaining a sense of style that’s sometimes been lost, especially in earlier models.
The legend gave these bad boys the business with Jordan’s signature Flight Plate technology working in unison with dynamic fit technology to provide a lock-down fit. Added those aspects are a full-grain nubuck leather and heel counter featuring a chrome finish that uses Melo’s first cursive signature logo that was created for the first Jordan Melo shoe ten years ago. All in all, dope shoe.
Expect to see Jordan Melo M10 in the black/dark powder blue colorway for $165 on Jan. 4, 2014 with more to follow.
