The birds are chirping louder this morning. Orange juice tastes better. And there’s a pep in Jabari Parker’s step. At in roughly 10 hours, it’s likely the Chicago high school phenom and former Duke superstar will be drafted first or second in the NBA Draft.
And this morning, Parker, the 2013 Jordan Brand Classic co-MVP, made it official by announcing his signing to Jordan Brand by sending out one simple tweet that read “#Family” and included a picture of what will be part of his ensemble tonight.

Following Parker’s lead, JB released a statement confirming the news.
“We could not be more excited to have Jabari Parker officially join our Jordan Family,” says Larry Miller, Jordan Brand president. “Jabari’s character and commitment to excellence makes him a perfect fit with Jordan Brand and we are looking forward to building a legacy with him.”
Whenever Jabari graces the stage tonight donning either a Cavs or Bucks hat, look closely for that golden Jumpman tie pin as a sign the young man is already hitting the endorsement track feet first.
And for your fun fact for today – and something that’ll probably make you feel old – Parker was born in 1995, the same year the legendary XIs hit shelves.
