Similar to how he broke down the significance of Illmatic for Revolt, Jungle offers some unique, brotherly perspective on the life of a young Nas. This time, he takes VIBE’s Mikkey Fresh and all of us on a ride-along through Queensbridge.
As central a character as there is within Nas lore, the housing project saw some pretty famous moments, which Jungle isn’t shy to point out. Highlights include the inspiration for “Project Window,” rapping with a young AZ in the apartment staircase, and a young Nasir chipping his tooth.
The more stories like this you hear, the more a Nas TV show sounds like a damn good idea.
