Will this ever happen? Not a chance in hell based off schedules alone. But could it possibly be the greatest cookout album in a long, long time? You bet your Memorial Day cookout raiding ass it would be.
What I’m referring to is some sort of super-project with Snoop Dogg, Pharrell, Uncle Charlie Wilson and Justin Timberlake.
Until the planets align or FOX News actually produces worthwhile content, past work has to suffice. “Signs” has all the ingredients of a classic cookout soundtrack from infectious beat, infectious hook and embodying a modern day record that undoubtedly makes your mom and/or aunties start two-stepping on command. Then, like clockwork, they bug you for the next two hours about getting said song on their phone because they want to walk to it while they’re working out. Or maybe that’s just mine.*
Nevertheless, long live “Signs,” a feel-good record for all feel-good records of the 2000s.Subscribe to UPROXX
* – Because my mama does that all the time. “Justin, who sings this? Can you get it on my phone? C’mon, hurry up.”
