Kanye didn’t exactly admit he was guilty, but his legal team knew he wasn’t walking away free and easy. Luckily for him, he was able to reach a plea deal in case against him for beating up a paparazzi at LAX in July 2013.
“West entered the plea through his attorney and did not attend the court hearing. He was sentenced to two years of probation, 24 anger management therapy sessions and 250 hours of community service.
“The rapper did not reach a civil settlement with the paparazzo, and his plea cannot be used against him in a civil lawsuit.
“West was charged with misdemeanor counts of battery and grand theft after an altercation at LAX with photographer Daniel Ramos in July.”
A couple of years of probation and anger management? Not a bad outcome for Kanye. All that’s left here should be settling the civil suit, which means ‘Ye will pay out a few bucks to Ramos, similar to what he did with the kid he beat up in January. That case settled out of court for a reported $250K.
Now, all that’s left is to figure out what he owes the city of Los Angeles for headbutting that street sign.
