It’s been widely known for some time that Compton wunderkind Kendrick Lamar is working on an album that would release in the near future. Nobody knew when, but everybody knew it was imminent. Well, now we know when it’s coming and what it’s called, and it’s dropping much sooner than you think.

K.Dot’s second major label release is officially titled Untitled, and you’ll be able to purchase it March 23rd. Yes, in just 17 days we’ll have a new album from King Kendrick, on a Monday no less.

Kendrick quietly released the info via a tweet that simply directs you to the album’s iTunes page.

On the iTunes page, there’s a 16-song, untitled album that includes the fiery “Blacker The Berry,” but is sans the Grammy Award-winning track “i.”

In announcing the album, Kendrick is forgoing the new “surprise album” trend, although he isn’t giving away many details either. The thirst for new Kendrick music was already at record highs, and now with just over two weeks until a whole albums worth of material it will reach a fever pitch.

You can preorder Untitled on iTunes now.

Update: Change of plans, or at least album titles. Kendrick has now released the proper cover and title, called To Pimp A Butterfly, for his album. Go here for more.
