I love watching creative individuals and teams combine forces to do stellar work without the benefit of big budgets. Mi amigo modi, DC to BC and The Madbury Club do just that by bringing Kendrick Lamar to their town for a performance and documenting the whole day. Between the photographs and video, it looks like the only thing Kendrick didn’t do while in D.C. was to stop by Pennsylvania Avenue and snap shots while seated in the Oval Office.
“The DC to BC/The Great Progression team linked up with the internet’s most vicious lifestyle site, The Madbury Club, to showcase the documentation of the Kendrick Lamar show we put together on August 12, 2011. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at everything we did, from 5am picking Kendrick and his team up from the airport to 5am to dropping them back off at 5am the next morning so they could continue to change the world with music. One of the coolest things I’ve been a part of, that’s for sure.”
There’s an awesome set of photographs and words hosted on Madbury Club (click here) and all I can do is encourage everyone to give it a look. Of course, the video component to the presentation is below and it’s well done too.
