Blake Griffin hasn’t seen a poster opportunity he didn’t like. However, opposing big men aren’t taking too lightly to his self-aggrandizing aerial feats. Blake’s been getting rocked these days and he’s taken heat for absorbing everything from legit, hard fouls and straight up disrespectful swipes. Well, here comes Kobe the destroyer offering his insight on how he’d react to these plays.
In response to ESPN-LA’s asking how he’d take such fouls, Kobe bluntly stated, “I’d smack the f— out of somebody” and continued on by saying “I’ve known him for a while and he’s a really nice guy so I don’t know if he’d want to do that. But I would. I would’ve done it early in the year.”
Now is this a case of big brother telling his sibling to smarten up? I think not. Mike Brown unfortunately is Kobe’s current coach but Bryant’s a student of Zen Master Phil Jackson. Jackson always played Jedi mind tricks around this time of year so I’m inclined to believe Kobe is following suit. Griffin will likely face a suspension if he retaliates with force during the playoffs and his absence would be a huge blow to the Clips’s playoff hopes. Meanwhile, Kobe will rock his best trollface the second Blake’s potential punishment hits ESPN’s ticker. You almost had me there Bean, almost.
