Leo Messi smashed a 57-year club record last night bringing his personal tally to 235 goals. The Barcelona star made it his 34th goal in 27 league games. Messi did in style too scoring three goals against Granada making it his eighth hat-trick of the season. Barcelona skipper Pep Guardiola thinks his go-to guy is “The Goat” and even compared him to basketball great Michael Jordan, stating “You have few players who dominate like this, but he does it. You can compare him perfectly to Jordan.”
Only two weeks after scoring a record 5 goals in the Champions League, the Argentinean’s stat sheet should secure his status of the greatest footballer of his generation and possibly off all-time. At only 24, is it only inevitable?
