“I’m may sound bitter/Just a little bitter/Because you were with her…”
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. In this case, that woman is the sultry Marsha Ambrosius. I have no clue if this is a personal story from Marsha’s memory bank, but the vibe would lead you to think so. “I Hope She Cheats” is exactly what the title suggests. She’s not busting any windows out a car like Jazmine did, but she is wishing some unlucky fella the worst as it deals with his new lady friend. And to think, here I am thinking Marsha was this soulstress who only sang about peace and love. Shame on me. Any woman turns crazy once you start toying with their emotions.
Even with Marsha’s vindictive feelings, I’m still patiently awaiting the arrival of her solo album Late Nights & Early Mornings. Pain makes for good music anyway.
On a serious note though, has anyone heard from Jazmine Sullivan? If so, tell her I miss her music. Thanks.
