The rapper made the startling claim during an interview with hip-hop beef instigator DJ Vlad. Apparently, your boy Meek wasn’t too happy when Quentin denied his claims that he was Drake’s ghostwriter. As you you may remember, Meek dropped a bomb last summer by claiming Papi wasn’t penning all his lyrics. Quentin refuted Meek’s brazen tweets in an open letter posted on his Tumblr. However, the open letter left the rapper “shedding blood” in a Nike store.
“They caught me in LA. I was walking to the Nikestore and [Meek] approached me and–this is really my first time talking with Meek. He basically told me he ain’t appreciate the letter I dropped and it made him seem like he was a liar or whatnot. And he f*ckin’ stole off on me in the Nikestore and ran. I shed blood in the Nike store on Wilshire [laughs].”
Quentin went on to say that Meek “tried to get him in front of paparazzi” at first, just as he was getting out of an Uber. “He sent his man, like, ‘Yo, Come here. Meek wants to talk to you.’ And I was just like, ‘I don’t want to go in front of paparazzi.'” Quentin says that’s when Meek and his crew followed him into the Nike store and got sh*t popping.
“As far as Meek and them, I don’t get them,” Quentin continued in the interview, “I don’t get how they move or make the decisions they made. I guess that’s just who they are, ya know? But it’s whatever.”
Quentin said Meek doesn’t earn any hood points for beating him up because he’s not a “street n***a” anyway. “I’m suburban kid. I’m from Gwinnett County. I’m not a violent person. I’m not out here to be the toughest n*gga.” He added, “Punching me is like punching Frank Ocean or punching IloveMakonnen. What kind of points you’re getting off of that?”
