“Minor setback for a major comeback…”
All is well now that Offset’s out of jail and the back in the booth with his Migos brothers. And with everyone’s court cases starting to resolve themselves, the trio’s finally speaking out on “Case Closed,” produced by Zaytoven. The song comes on the heels of Offset’s initial solo offering, “First Day Out,” released within the first 24 hours back in the free world.
We’ve read the various reports regarding their April arrest at Georgia Southern, and now they’re detailing their version of the events and how “a couple of grams…laundromats of cash, a couple straps that wasn’t even dirty” turned into an eight month legal ordeal. Offset sounds especially reinvigorated and focused after perhaps realizing he repeat trips to pokey at inopportune times throws a real hitch in the group as a whole’s progress. He caps one of his lines with the proclamation, “I swear to the Lord that I’m not going back.” Sometimes, you have to put those thoughts in the air and claim victory, so let’s hope that positive thinking creates better days for the three wise ones.
