Mortal Kombat X‘s (PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360) CG trailer brought the hype last week. Now it’s time for NetherRelm Studios, MK X‘s developer, to deliver the goods in the form of gameplay footage. The team along with series co-creator Ed Boon made the rounds at E3 while boldly showcasing an early build of the project. The game’s still not due until 2015 but it looks like it’s coming along quite well.
Fans can go into Mortal Kombat X‘s demos with confidence since NetherRelm’s not trying to shake things up without purpose. The developers seem like they’re building upon MK 9‘s high points while adding enough fresh content to justify this sequel’s release. Plenty of new characters and fighting styles go on display in both videos so I won’t spoil their surprises. Just set aside a half-hour of your time, stash them or front at work as they play. Also please note Sub-Zero gets properly represented in both flicks. Respect The ICE GAWD when you see him, chumps.
