Nearly a decade has passed since their beef on wax was called to a truce but it’s still always a shining moment for rap when Nas and Jay Z take the stage together.

To close out day two of the Indio, CA music festival, the two former foes turned friends blessed the crowd by appearing together as stage partners. Even though they’ve worked and performed together countless times, it still never ceases to be a high point in Hip-Hop each time they do anything together. Nas cut short his performance of “The World Is Yours” to bring out Hov, who segued into “Dead Presidents” shoulder to shoulder with Nas. He followed it up by launching into “Where I’m From” off the In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 album.

The surprise performance came during early into set, which saw Esco and DJ Green Lantern guiding the lucky crowd down memory lane with a full performance of the 20-year classic, Ilmatic. From “The Gensis” to “It Ain’t Hard To Tell,” the QB MC brought the album to life for a one of a kind moment in music. But, even at that point, he wasn’t done. To close out his time on stage, he brought out Puffy and the two did the 1999 hit, “Hate Me Now,” before closing with “One Mic.”

Watch the full 43-minute performance and peep the setlist, both below.
