It’s been nearly three years since living legend Nas has dropped an LP, but the hiatus is ending soon, according to the man himself. Nasir surprised fans at a show in Orlando, Fla. over the weekend by announcing that he has an album on the way this summer.
“Right mothaf***in’ now, death to all snitches. Watch every n**** around you my n****s ‘cuz sh*t is real out here. 2015, new album this summer.”
Nas has remained busy since releasing Life Is Good in the summer of 2012, dropping a slew of features for the likes of Jay Z, Madonna, Wiz Khalifa, Schoolboy Q and a few others. He returned briefly last October and released the J. Dilla-produced “The Season,” and, of course, the Time Is Illmatic documentary.
Whatever the release date is, new Nas music is always a welcomed occasion.
