With a few decades in the rap game, Nas has seen and done it all. And when things are all said and done, he still reps Queensbridge, much like Ron Artest and many other famous former residents cite QB as one of the biggest influences in their lives.
Precisely enough, Nas’ brother Jungle crafts visual for “A Queens Story” that’s more for the purpose of keeping Life Is Good viral and visible than being polished. While Nas raps of neighborhood heroes, the clip plays like a scrapbook as scenes flash across the screen of club performances and landmarks commonly referenced in songs throughout the years crossed with images of other borough greats like Tribe, LL and Chris Lighty. With all of the praise the album’s seen, it’s good to see Nas deflecting a bit of credit back to the place where it belongs.
